B stocks usually show small cosmetic defects that are barely noticeable: minor scratches, minor scuffs, handling signs etc. They may come with either the Blue/Olive badge without a serial number or with a Keystone badge and a serial number. Sold “as-is” and for that matter, they benefit from a small reduction in price compared to a “Standard A-Stock”. The drum is constructed of a single sheet of brass that is hydroformed into a seamless beaded shell. However, due to their truly unique and difficult manufacturing process, only a very limited number of Black Beauties are available each year from Ludwig USA.

A true American original, the Black Beauty provides a warm, round metallic tone that is often imitated, but never duplicated.
