We use handpicked, optimally processed tonkin sticks exclusively:
- shafts with plugged ends, rounded for a pleasant grip
- growth rings in the middle
- waxed shafts provide a good grip
- mallet pairs are matched for weight and colour
Ramin shafts are an inexpensive alternative to tonking shafts. They are very sturdy and thus durable. The shafts are waxed and therefore very easy to grip. The ends of the shafts are rounded for a good grip and pairs of mallets are sorted by weight.
Rossmann Series
Due to the large number of models we can provide a very finely graduated range of mallets to allow a personal choice of mallets with regard to the individual playing technique, the acoustic factors and the instrument. We recommend the universal model 22H3 resp. 22H3R to begin with. We would be glad to give advice for your individual choice.
How to read the item number:
- 18 = core diameter: 18 mm
-
H = wooden core, K = cork core
mallets with wooden core are a little bit heavier and more succinct than the corresponding models with cork core -
2 - 3 - 4 = number of felt layers
the more layers, the softer and the more sound volume
