Traditional timpani mallets made of flannel discs. A coloured tension nut fixes the layered discs on the wooden thread and marks their hardness level.
The timbre of the Viennese flannel mallet is softer and warmer, the Dresden Style mallet more succinct and clear. These timpani mallets are very versatile and clear in articulation and are especially suited for pieces of the Viennese Classic.
WFT30 13 mm black approx. 30 g
all-round mallet / warm, round / clear articulation / large sound volume / top heavy mallets
tonking, waxed cylindric; approx. 11 mm, 370 mm
Please note
The plastic tension nut is not glued to the wooden thread, so that the hardness level of the flannel mallet can be adjusted individually. In order to avoid damage to the thread, please adjust the tension nut gently with care.
We use exclusively hand-picked, optimally processed tonking cane, hornbeam and common beech wood. The mallets are assorted and matched in weight so that they fit together as pairs. The tonking shafts with plugged ends are matched for their nodal points.
