Suspension and stand
We recommend the Kolberg stand for bass drums 650D26 from our product range. The connection between stand and drum shell is effected by means of special rubber anti-vibration mountings. These are mounted on the shell and connect it to the stand. As the joint between instrument and stand is on rubber mounts and is thus not rigid but can vibrate instead, it enables extraordinary sound results as well as making it possible to tilt the drum securely. At the same time, an instrument with different types of heads can make full use of ist sound possibilities since it can be rotated swiftly and simply without stop to any desired position when mounted on the stand.

Pedal-operated interior damper 626DBD
The pedal-operated damper muffles both heads simultaneously and perfectly silently in every possible drum position (including horizontal). This means that if a cymbal is mounted, the performer's hands are free, for example, to damp the cymbals, or to play virtuoso two-drumstick passages with more nuances.
Freely oscillating interior suspension 626IA
Unique patented fully freely-vibrating interior suspension for bass drums, with ring and elastic rubber straps located in the interior of the shell (Patent no. DE 196 16 419 C2). With this system, Kolberg Percussion offers an extraordinary solution for sound optimisation and manageability of bass drums. As there is no rigid connection between stand and drum shell, the freely-vibrating drum can develop its entire range of possibilities of sound quality and volume. The Kolberg drum with interior suspension enables space savings of around. 30 cm both in height and in width over a cumbersome bulky suspension with an exterior ring. This is of great benefit, not only in the orchestra pit but also for transportation and for storage. And there is a further, aesthetic bonus: the freely-vibrating interior suspension preserves the elegant looks of the large drums. Finally, another advantage is that it is still possible to mount a cymbal on the drum shell.
