The Freer Percussion Classic Hard Case is the “small” version of the three hard cases offered in the past measuring 18.5″ x 10.5″ x 6.75.”
It features the original Freer designed stick holsters built into the lid and a storage compartment behind them. This compartment will hold three small method books or a good stack of loose sheet music. New this year is an additional stick holster which is stored in the lid compartment and now comes standard with the extra stick holster which is now modified to hang off the back of the case lid as seen on our facebook photos. Comes included with each case. Also has a storage compartment in the back bottom of the case for mufflers, tuning forks, tuner, pencils etc. This compartment also keeps your sticks slightly elevated out of the bottom of the case. Easily holds about 30 pairs of timpani mallets depending on size and model. Other improvements this year includes higher quality nickel plated front latch and leather handle. The original case made in 1990 is still going strong after a lot of touring and hard use. The ideal timpani case for all timpanists and of course auditions when you need one case to handle most everything and have it all set out ready to walk on stage. Perfect for percussionists who want their sticks laid out and easy to grab, perfect for the pit and even many drum set players over the years have adopted this case.
