The WWXB4 is a medium soft mallet with Gray/Cinnamon colored yarn and birch handles.

The chevron pattern around the Wave Wrap™ mallet head combines a blend of nylon and wool yarn that evokes maximum warmth and articulation. The highest concentration of yarn is wrapped around the mallet's "equator", creating an increased striking surface making this mallet the most responsive throughout the entire range of the keyboard than any other mallet. Exclusively unique, these mallets sound very warm and resonant in the bass end and yet clear and articulate in the treble end.

There have been a few modifications that have increased the warmth of the series while maintaining their articulation. The Wave Wrap series feature a clear sound across an expanded range of the keyboard. It is the most articulate and responsive series to date, and is available in both rattan and birch shafts.
The highest concentration of yarn is wrapped around the mallet's "equator", creating an increased striking surface and a mallet that is more responsive on a larger range of the keyboard than any other mallet. The Wave Wrap blend of wool and nylon yarn minimizes contact sound and enhances articulation.
The mallet is balanced to facilitate ease of movement in the player's hand. The Wave Wrap patented wrapping technology creates a chevron pattern around the playing surface, and a distinctive wave on top of the head - two unique visual signatures for these finest of marimba mallets.
