“I’m thrilled to have entrusted this George Hamilton Green mallet project to Tom Freer and Freer PERCUSSION. I’ve known Tom for many years and know that his products have always stood for quality and detail instead of mass production numbers. The signature mallets are modeled after George Hamilton Green’s originals that the family loaned to Tom for the project. The George Hamilton Green publications that Freer is putting out exclusively, represent the artistic integrity and high standards that our family historically exemplifies and we look forward to more future projects.” -Lew Green

Finally the new George Hamilton Green signature series mallets with proprietary dual durometer balls. The medium density white outer portion of the ball contains a green core that is a heavier and harder material which replicates the 1920’s originals obtained from the Green family. The necessity of creating a unique dual durometer ball was due to the complicated process of trying to recreate the same feel and sound as some of George’s original mallets. I’m very proud to say this is yet another Freer Percussion first and a method of mallet construction that will continue with several other models very soon. It was very difficult to come the right comparison for these mallets. They really stand out on their own and have a totally unique feel and sound unlike anything else Freer makes.
