Very satisfying pedal to play. Felt natural out of the box. Fast and responsive. Light but powerful.

Really liking the longer footboard and the beater design.

The large carrying case is a nice touch. Adjustability is easy.

The chain causes a significant racket. My pedal was making all sorts of squeaks and metal to metal noises out of the box. It was driving me nuts to the point of thinking about returning the pedal. After a lot of tinkering, I figured out it was the chain. I removed it and applied bicycle chain dry lube, let it stand for a few minutes, removed the excess, and put it back on. The squeaks and noises were gone instantly.

I also picked up a Sonor Jojo Mayer strap drive kit ($30 CAD). It fits the Speed Cobra perfectly. All you need to do is adjust the beater and footboard angles a little. The pedal became absolutely silent. The strap drive also make this pedal exceptionally fast, nimble, and ridiculously responsive. I'm loving both the chain and strap drives.

Tama should really include a strap in the box, and spend some time looking into the chain's design.
