The Kolberg crotales set "Concert" c6 - c7 with crotales/cymbales antiques made of bell bronze exclusively for Kolberg Percussion and a very practical stand with pedal damping.

Crotales

Kolberg antique cymbals/crotales "Concert" are cast of an exclusive, high-quality, very hard bell bronze alloy. Due to their special design with large diameter and extra thickness they achieve a unique full sound volume further to their typical bright, floating sound, thus forming a significant contrast to the glockenspiel of the same octave.

Notation: c2 - c3 / C5-C6
Pitch: three octaves higher (c4 - c5 / C7-C8)
From Karl Peinkofer in the "Handbuch des Schlagzeugs" (2nd edition 1981, pg. 75): "The definition "pitch as written" refers to the reverberation sound, as in the tonal blend of the attack the upper octave dominates."

 

Stand

Mobile, height-adjustable stand with new pedal-operated damper (strut system)

Damping

The new pedal-operated damper with struts extends comfortably over a larger section of the instrument, as with Kolberg glockenspiels, and can be adjusted continuously to any playing height. The damping system works effectively and silently, demonstrating its advantage during rapid pedal movements.
